KOKORO draws these experiences together, carrying Japanese aesthetic wisdom into contemporary music, art, practice, and daily life.

Founder & creative direction
Based in Takamatsu, Kagawa, Kumiko brings together Japanese cultural practice and the perspective of 22 years living overseas, including New York and Hong Kong.
Her work spans ikebana, the Way of Tea, Japanese etiquette, and Mind-Free Calligraphy. Through KOKORO, she explores how the sensitivity within these traditions can find new expression through music and human connection.
